DESCRIPTION:A guest lecture on “Networking and negotiations was conducted for 2nd semester MBA students. The speaker Mr.Yogeshvaran brings in diverse commercial experience from strategic sourcing, procurement, consulting, negotiations, contract management.\nCurrently, he is working in NAM, a Shell Joint Venture as Supply Chain Lead for Completions and Well Interventions based out of Netherlands and responsible for strategic contracts, driving creative solutions that deliver value across the Supply Chain.\n \nThe speaker started with the introduction and explained the process as follows\n\nWhat is a networking ?\nHow do I start networking?\nHow to negotiate with the people?\nHow do I manage the networking?\nWhat makes a good networking?\nWrap up\n\nHe related the topic of everyday examples where students could understand it easily by using terminologies related to networking and negotiations even he gave many examples of real life situations, stories and scenarios. Later the speaker asked students about the opinion about networking and negotiation. Many of our seniors shared their own experiences about how important networking is especially after the MBA.\nHe conducts this activity/polls, on metimeterso the student can understand how to handle people about networking and negotiating. Students were very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the session.\n
