In BNMIT we believe that “Education is for life and not just for livelihood”. With this perspective in mind, the BNM Institute of Technology designed the T5, an initiative to develop a holistic outlook in the students. We believe there is a need for the students to understand the intricacies of society and relationships. Along with professional knowledge, several meta-skills and underlying values are needed to develop the overall personality of the students. The program is spread over four semesters which includes speech, written and presentation components. During the second year of their course, students have the WP5 sessions, a synonym for Write and Present, and aims at improving writing skills which include description, narration, and comprehension. The students are encouraged to practice reflective thinking through group discussions. They are trained to demonstrate effective project execution and control techniques that result in successful projects. Further WP5 aims at developing skills in a student to handle roles in different situations they may face in the corporate world. The objective of this FDP is to enhance the faculty’s ability to deliver the best learning methodologies improvising the student’s skills in communication & presentation and building self-confidence to overcome challenges faced during the perusal of their career goals.
