SUMMARY:Industrial Visit to “AI and Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation”
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized an Industrial Visit to “AI and Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation” in association with IIC-BNMIT and IEEE Computational Intelligence Society on 9th Jan 2026\, in offline mode. The program aimed to expose students to real-world industrial challenges that can be addressed using AI and data-driven solutions\, while encouraging design thinking\, rapid prototyping\, and agile methodologies for digital transformation. As part of the activity\, students also visited Galore Systems Pvt. Ltd.\, Vijayanagar\, Bengaluru\, a technology-driven company working on emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR)\, motion capture\, immersive interaction systems\, collaborative robotics\, and AI/ML. During the visit\, students interacted with live prototypes and professional workflows\, gaining insights into how technologies like AI\, AR/VR/XR\, robotics\, electronics\, and design are integrated to build practical solutions. The experience enhanced students’ understanding of industrial AI applications\, innovation practices\, and prototype development\, helping bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world implementation. \nDate: 9th Jan 2026 \nVenue: Galore Systems\, Bangalore \nTime: 9.00 AM to 2.00 PM

SUMMARY:Bootcamp on “Ride Wise & Safe: Road Safety Bootcamp for Empowering Girl Riders”
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized a Bootcamp on “Ride Wise & Safe: Road Safety Bootcamp for Empowering Girl Riders” in association with IIC-BNMIT & Triguna-The Science of Living\, A CSR initiative of Aavas Financiers Ltd. & DCP Traffic South Bangalore on 29th Jan 2026\, in offline mode\, with 270 students\, 50 faculty members\, and 35 external participants taking part. The program aimed to create awareness about road safety rules\, traffic signs\, legal responsibilities\, and defensive riding techniques\, while empowering girl students with safe and responsible riding practices. The bootcamp included interactive sessions on traffic regulations\, causes of road accidents\, helmet usage\, and the importance of safety gear\, supported by real-life case studies and discussions. The event encouraged responsible road behavior\, confidence\, and independence among girl riders\, while promoting a culture of road discipline and civic responsibility. The program concluded with the message “Safety First – Every Ride Matters\,” and helmets were distributed to all participating female students to reinforce the importance of protective gear and safe riding habits. \nDate: 29th Jan 2026 \nVenue: Mathrushree Sushila Devi Maanay Auditorium\, BNMIT \nTime: 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM

SUMMARY:Technical Talk on “Security and AI”
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized an Technical Talk on “Security and AI” in association with IIC-BNMIT and IEEE Computational Intelligence Society on 30th Jan 2026. The session aimed to introduce the role of AI and Machine Learning in cybersecurity\, focusing on threat detection\, malware analysis\, fraud detection\, and intrusion detection systems. Students were introduced to fundamental security principles such as the CIA triad (Confidentiality\, Integrity\, and Availability) and modern cyber threats including phishing\, ransomware\, malware attacks\, and data breaches. The workshop also highlighted the use of AI techniques such as supervised learning\, anomaly detection\, and deep learning in enhancing security solutions. Additionally\, discussions covered security challenges in AI systems such as adversarial attacks\, data poisoning\, and model inversion\, along with ethical considerations\, data privacy\, and responsible AI practices. Through interactive discussions and real-world use cases\, the program enhanced students’ analytical\, problem-solving\, and technical understanding of AI-driven cybersecurity applications. \nDate: 30th Jan 2026 \nVenue: Concept Hall (S006) S-Block\, BNMIT \nTime: 1.30 PM to 3.30 PM
