SUMMARY:Industrial Visit to “Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)”
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized an Industrial Visit to “Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)” in association with IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and IIC-BNMIT on 14th July 2025\, to provide students with practical exposure to intelligent transportation systems and the operational processes of Namma Metro. During the visit\, BMRCL officials conducted an orientation session explaining the metro infrastructure\, automation systems\, and the role of computational intelligence in urban mobility management. Students also visited the Operations Control Centre (OCC)\, where they observed real-time monitoring of train operations\, communication systems\, and safety management. The visit concluded with a guided tour of a static metro train\, allowing students to explore its interior systems and safety features. DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized an Outreach Program on “Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program in Schools/Community” in association with IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and IIC-BNMIT on 31st July 2025 at BNMIT\, Bangalore. This was a meaningful and interactive event that brought together third-year engineering students and school children from BNM School\, ranging from grades 6 to 12. As part of the initiative\, several of us third-year students had the opportunity to exhibit our academic projects and present them to the visiting students. We explained how our projects worked\, the technology behind them\, and the real-world problems they aimed to solve.
