DESCRIPTION:The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering\, in association with the Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC)\, MetiSkill\, and the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society\, organised a Technical Talk on “Skill-Based Learning in Aerospace and Aviation Sector.”\nThe session focused on enhancing students’ understanding of the evolving skill requirements and industry expectations in the aerospace and aviation domains. The talk was delivered by Mr. Sangharakshaka V P\, CEO (officiating)\, AASSC\, and Flt Lt Poornima M (Retd)\, COO\, MetiSkill Global Solutions. Both speakers brought rich industry experience and provided deep insights into current trends\, competency frameworks\, and opportunities available for engineering graduates in the aerospace and aviation sector. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and hands-on skill development by highlighting career pathways\, industry-aligned skill sets\, and the significance of continuous professional development. DESCRIPTION:International Conference on Applied Sciences and Advanced Materials (ICASAM – 2025):\nInternational Conference on Applied Sciences and Advanced Materials (ICASAM 2025) was held on the 28th and 29th of November 2025. The conference was jointly organized by the Departments of Physics\, Chemistry\, Mathematics\, and Mechanical Engineering in hybrid mode\, enabling active participation from both online and offline delegates. The inaugural function was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest\, Prof. E. S. Dwarakadasa\, Chairman of KHMD\, Bengaluru\, and former Professor of Materials Engineering at IISc Bengaluru. The two-day conference comprised 09 Invited Lectures and 26 Technical Sessions conducted in 22 tracks. \nDuring the conference\, 200 research papers were submitted\, out of which 170 were presented\, \nincluding 40 online presentations by scholars and students from prestigious institutions\, including IISc Bengaluru\, Karunya University\, Coimbatore\, KKIT Coimbatore\, Jamia Millia Islamia\, Central University\, New Delhi\, Vijayanagar Sri Krishnadevaraya University\, VTU\, Bangalore University\, Presidency University\, Reva University\, Government Engineering College Chamarajanagar\, and several others. Selected papers will be published in the Cureus Journal of Engineering\, a Springer Nature publication. \n
