She started working as a performance management specialist and is currently the program manager in Leadership and Diversity space. She has won the award for best HR in 2019.She is continuously engaged in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Initiative of TCS.\n\n\nReport\nA guest lecture on “HR Strategies in IT Industry” was conducted for the MBA students of 4th semester and 2nd semester. This lecture was delivered by Ms. Harshitha Bapat and was scheduled to start at 12:00 pm through online mode. She began her lecture with introduction about various HR strategies and emphasized more on being cognizant and vigilant while taking strategic decisions as an HR professional. \nThe Speaker started with explanation of diversity and inclusion and its importance in the IT sector. She gave insights about the following HR strategies: \n\nRed and Blue Cup (Engagement in critical work)\nAttrition and Retention;\n\nThe strategies used for retention purposes are mentoring\, individual development plans etc. \n\nResource Management;\n\nIt includes up skilling\, vendor management\, realization etc. \nShe suggested a Book -6 Thinking Hats by Edward de Bono \nTo Wrap Up: \nShe threw light on various diversity programs like that of: women specific\, people with disabilities\, people from different background\, community and how proper inclusion of such diversified personnel leads to much better productivity. She gave crucial and real-life HR examples from TCS itself and students were able to understand the situation in a better way by sharing their own thoughts and perspectives regarding the same. By the end of the session students were given chance to clarify their doubts and the guest lecture ended by feedback from Dr. Neetha Mahadev and other students. The lecture was a great success. It helped the students to know about use of HR strategies and its impact on the working of company.

DESCRIPTION:  \nDEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION \n\n\n\nDate\n3rd July to 9th July 2021\n\n\nOrganization\nBNM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY\n\n\nAudience\nParticipants from Corporate and Academia\n\n\nReport\nTHE SHOW MUST GO ONLINE\nFaculty Development Programme on “The Art of Effective Online Teaching for Management Faculty” was conducted by the Department of Business Administration in order to equip teaching fraternity in Management education to adapt to new and innovative ways of teaching management concepts and its applications to real world scenarios in a creative manner with the aid of new age technology.Eminent speakers from the industry and academia held engaging sessions.\nThe session on Day 1on “Enhancing the effectiveness of Online teaching using technology”\,was handled by Mr.Santosh Hombal\, Business Development Manager at eAbhyas Info solutions\, who gave an insight into the context of Online teaching\, how to engage students with compelling content using various communication tools as well as content sources and creation tools.\nThe session on Day 2 was on “AdaptingDesign thinking in online teaching-learning process” chaired by Mr. Vijeth Rao\, Design Lead of Leadsquared\, who shared the basic premise used in design thinking\, the use of various laws applicable in the design industry and its applicability to online teaching.\nThe session on Day 3was on “Teaching through Gamification”\, handledby Dr. Manu Melvin Joy from CUSAT\, who held a demonstrated discussion on immersive learning experiences\, Gamification\, Game based learning\, and Game thinking\nThe session onDay 4 entailed“Creativity in Case-based teaching methodology”conducted by Mr. Mohit Shetty\, HRBP\, Infoblox\, who gave an insight into the classic case study method and the more engaging podcasts\, video commentary and documentaries\, new editorials and blogs. He also spoke about creating case study content and the online resources that can be used.\nOn Day 5\, there were two sessions –“Mastering Online Pedagogical delivery at Wiztoonz Academy”\, engaged by Mr. Mahesh Ravi\, Creative Head\, Wiztoonz Academy of Media and Design\, who ledthe participants through an experience of the various communication\, content creation and student management tools used at Wiztoonz Academy and“Innovations inOnline Assessment and Evaluation” by Dr. L Vijayashree\, Professor and Head\, New Gen IEDC who shared using simple online tools like padlets\, content creation platforms like blogsites\, Microsoft sway\, XMind etc.  and conducting situation analysis\, roleplays\, one-minute papers\, one sentence summaries and so on online
