Institute of Technology\, Bengaluru\, hosted a Five-Day Offline Boot Camp on “RTL\, IP Integration & SOC Sign-off” organized by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT)\, Calicut and funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)\, Government of India. \nThe boot camp was designed to provide students with industry-oriented exposure to VLSI design flow and System-on-Chip (SoC) development methodologies. The program focused on key concepts including Register Transfer Level (RTL) design\, IP integration techniques\, and SoC sign-off processes\, enabling students to understand the practical workflow followed in semiconductor industries. \nThe sessions were conducted by Mr. Sreejeesh S. G.\, Senior Technical Officer\, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and Mr. Rithwik V.\, Project Engineer\, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). A total of 62 students participated in the visit\, gaining firsthand experience of cutting-edge products\, live demonstrations\, and interactions with industry experts. \nThe visit commenced with an overview of IoT-Expro 2026 and India Electronics Week\, where students explored exhibitions showcasing emerging trends in IoT\, embedded systems\, sensor technologies\, and smart devices. They observed innovations in Industrial IoT (IIoT)\, Industry 4.0 applications\, AI-driven automation\, Edge Computing\, electronics design\, PCB technologies\, and hardware innovations\, gaining valuable insights into the evolving technology landscape. \nStudents also attended live product demonstrations and interacted with industry professionals\, startup founders\, and technology leaders\, who shared practical insights into real-world applications\, cybersecurity in IoT ecosystems\, connectivity solutions\, and future technological developments. DESCRIPTION:The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized a Two-Day Workshop on Generative AI on 1st and 2nd April 2026 to equip students with practical knowledge of Generative AI technologies and their real-world applications in content creation\, automation\, and intelligent problem-solving. The workshop was conducted in offline mode over 12 hours\, with the participation of 136 students\, 2 faculty members\, and 2 external participants. \nThe workshop commenced with an introduction to Generative AI models\, familiarizing participants with Large Language Models (LLMs)\, image generation techniques\, and code generation tools. The sessions emphasized creating\, customizing\, and deploying AI-powered solutions while also highlighting ethical\, societal\, and professional considerations associated with AI-generated content. Throughout the workshop\, participants gained hands-on experience using accessible AI tools to improve productivity\, automation\, and innovation across various domains. \nThe first day focused on Text Generation with Embeddings and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Students explored Baseline RAG and GraphRAG workflows\, learned how embeddings enable semantic search\, and practiced loading\, storing\, and querying documents using vector databases such as Pinecone and FAISS. The session also introduced LangChain-based RAG pipelines and self-querying techniques\, allowing participants to build context-aware text generation systems through practical implementation. \nThe second day was dedicated to Diffusion Models for Image Generation\, where participants explored leading AI image generation platforms including OpenAI DALL·E\, Midjourney\, Stable Diffusion\, and Google Gemini.
