A Faculty Development Programme on ‘Transcending Language Skills’ was conducted from July 15 – 25, 2019 for faculty members of various departments of BNMIT taking TW5 sessions (Talking and Writing).
The objective of the Program was to provide a different perspective on the teaching and learning process of language skills and also to introduce faculty members to the subtle nuances of presenting concepts in a manner that encourages self-learning. The resource persons for the program were Prof. S. K. Bhagawan, Smt. Vanadana Shastry and Prof. R. N. Tiwari.
One day workshop was organized on HR Analytics and Marketing Research on October 18, 2019. These two papers were newly introduced for third semester MBA HR and Marketing specialization respectively. The faculties teaching these subjects across VTU afﬁliated colleges in Karnataka attended this program. Industry experts from the ﬁeld of HR and Marketing Analytics were invited for the program.
Ramesh Sundararajan, HR Analytics Consultant, spoke about the content and details of HR analytics syllabus of VTU and explained the approach and the application of the concepts in the industry
The session on Marketing Analytics was handled by Saurabh Rishi, a Marketing Analytics Consultant. He threw light upon various marketing research and analytics carried in the industry and also briefed about various software packages available in the industry to carry out analytics.
The Department of MBA organized 3-day FAculty Development Programme on “Basics of MS Excel” on 30th, 31st, July and 1st, August 2019 for its faculty members to hone their skills further and train students.
The trainer was Mr. Shankar M M, Founder, CARES. The faculty members underwent hands-on training on Basics of Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel is an application software which has a lot of applications in the corporate world.
Faculty Development Programme on Econometrics for Financial Research was organised from January 29th to 31st, 2018. The purpose of FDP was to provide a platform for research scholars, faculty members and corporate researchers to get familiarized with the various fundamental aspects of Financial Econometrics.
The Department of MBA, BNMIT in association with CARES, Bangalore organised a Management Development Programme on Psychometrics and Econometrics Using R Language from May 24-26, 2018.
Staff Development Programme on “Advanced Excel” was organised for the non-teaching staff members of BNMIT on January 18, 2017. The resource person for the SDP was Mr. Shankar M M from CARES, Bangalore.
