About the Department:

The Department has highly qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic faculty.  Department aims to impart high quality education inspiring students to come out to compete globally. To develop scientific outlook overall with analytical mind giving due importance to basic science and its application in engineering science. To inculcate students to learn in achieving something substantial for developing their career. To make students to contemplate and solve environmental problems of mankind.  Department is provided with well equipped lab and individual attention is given to the students. Department produces very high percentage of results every year and scaling up to 100%. To motivate the faculty of the department to undertake research in addition to teaching undergraduates they are encouraged to participate in various National and International conferences in India and abroad to enhance their knowledge base. The Department is actively engaged in research areas of pharmaceutics, chemical kinetics and corrosion.

About Head of the Department:

JTR

Dr. Jayanna B. K. obtained M.Sc., and Ph.D., from University of Mysore. He has 20 years of teaching experience. To his credit, he is a Co-Author of ‘Engineering Chemistry’ book published by Star-Tech Publishers, Bengaluru and Reviewed Engineering Chemistry, published by Skyward Publishers, Bengaluru. He has successfully guided one scholar for Ph.D., degree and currently guiding 04 research scholars in the area of Nano Technology, Phytochemistry and Analytical chemistry. Dr. Jayanna has published over 24 articles in peer reviewed National and International journals. He has received a research grant to the tune of 2 lakhs from VTU, Belagavi. He has conducted several workshops.
