Dr. Saritha Chakrasali is currently the Head of the Department of Training & Placement, and a Professor in Department of Information Science & Engineering, BNMIT. She has obtained her bachelors from Bangalore University, India, masters from AAIDU, India and Ph. D from Madurai Kamraj University, India. She has 25 years of experience in Teaching and 18 years of experience in Research at BNMIT. To her credit, she has 32 publications in reputed International/ National journals and conferences. She has been awarded 1 design patents and 1 copyright. Dr Saritha has been invited many times from colleges/organisations in Karnataka & Tamilnadu to educate the students on careers in engineering. She has designed and delivered workshop on Basic & advanced algorithms conducted by ACE Hackers at Wipro digital, Bangalore. She has chaired the Technical sessions in various International Conferences. Dr. Saritha has not only attended numerous workshops but also organized various workshops/conferences at BNMIT. She has received a grant amount of Rs.20 Lakhs from VGST under K-FIST L1 scheme for the project proposal “GPGPU Computing for computationally complex problems” for the duration of two years (2019-2021). She is a lifetime member of IEI, ISTE, and CSI. Her area of expertise is Image Processing. Presently, she is guiding one Ph.D student.
