Training Methodology

The Training methodology is consistent with the mission of the Institution as it contributes to society through innovative and quality education.

Training & Placement Department provides training in soft skills, communication and career planning is imparted to students in the first three years. Various programs are conducted for the recruits by the companies. Some of the programs are Infosys TQ Program, Cognizant early engagement programs, KPMG accounting program and so on. Also, students attend the industrial training in various companies like Cognizant, Danskee IT, Thomson Reuters, McAfee, One Direct and many more. BNMIT is ranked top in the colleges affiliated to VTU.

The training encompasses the following niche skills required for the overall development of students:

First Year

Guidance for Higher Studies:

The Department of Training and Placement of the college provides guidance and all the assistance for the students in order to achieve their career goals. The department takes steps to identify the demands of the industry and prepares students towards their needs. Adequate emphasis is given for soft skill development complementing the regular academic programs.

The Department plans, monitors and implements career guidance services including counseling for higher studies across all branches involving the placement coordinators’ team and trainers at the institution level.

The Training and Placement Department will extend career guidance support to students in terms of various job opportunities in Government and private sectors.

Department has also established a Career Guidance Cell in association with M/s Byjus. The Career Counselling Cell will help students in counseling & preparation for higher studies, profile building, which will enable them to seek admission in reputed Universities across the world. The expert team of Counsellors from BYJU’S, working in Education Space will visit BNMIT twice a week and provide personalized, authentic and reliable guidance around the career path of students. Apart from guiding students to enroll in Indian and Foreign Universities, BYJU’s will conduct CAT and GRE classes in the first Phase and GMAT and other competitive examination preparation courses in the second phase, for those students who register in advance.

An MOU has also been signed with The Princeton Review, USA which is represented in Bengaluru by Manya Education Pvt. Ltd. The MOU envisages Manya addressing students on the opportunities available in abroad universities, counseling them on all the options and training them in the college in clearing GRE, TOEFL and other competitive examinations. Subsequently, they will guide them in applying for prestigious universities and getting admission for the same.

Classes for GRE and CAT will be held on Monday’s and Thursday’s of the week after the regular academic hours. Student’s can avail this opportunity at a special discounted training fee.
