The Department came into existence along with the establishment of BNMIT in the year 2001. The Department has well qualified and dedicated faculty. It strives hard to impart knowledge and training of the highest standard. The objective of the Department is to provide solid understanding of physical concepts, problem solving and mathematical skills, as well as broad experimental knowledge that can ignite enthusiasm and interest in the study of Physics in relation with the professional courses.
