Our course provides equal importance to theory and hands-on sessions. The classes are handled by highly hailed academicians. During the laboratory sessions, the students are aided with skilled technicians. Specialized subjects include but not limited to Power System Analysis, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives, Analog and Digital Electronics, High Voltage Engineering, etc. While the focus is on the hardware design, the students will also learn the foundations of programming and complete the set of technical skills required in today’s industrial standard.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering Graduates can excel as power engineers to design systems and minimize power losses during generation, transmission and distribution. They can work as Data analyst/Diagnostic Engineer, Maintenance Manager in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. They design, develop, test Electrical devices and equipment which includes electrical generators & motors, navigation systems, electrical Vehicles, and electrical systems for automobiles and aircrafts etc.

Message From The HOD
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) department of B N M Institute of Technology was established in the year 2002 with an intake of 60 students. Since the inception it has achieved many milestones as below:
The EEE department is accredited by NBA-New Delhi.
The department is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
The Department offers four years of undergraduate course (B.E.)
Research / Doctoral Program i.e. PhD/M.Sc. (Engg.) by research.
The significant infrastructural design, well-equipped laboratories, hi-tech computers with high-speed internet facility, highly qualified, dedicated faculty and staff of EEE ensure world-class standard of education delivered from our department.
The department faculties are committed to teach our students the fundamental concepts and the latest trends via smart teaching and learning process. In addition to classroom teaching, the students are guided and motivated to practically implement the principles learnt in classrooms through experimentations in the laboratories and through innovative projects.
The department conducts various workshops, Skill Development programs and Invited talks by Industry Experts & Alumni in collaboration with industries for the benefit of faculty and students. The student projects are conducted in-house with the guidance of department faculty and industrial trainers. Industrial visits are regularly organized by the department. EEE department has IEI student chapter and various events are organized regularly under this chapter. Students are also encouraged to participate in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The department has shown outstanding performance consistently by obtaining excellent results with several distinctions and university ranks. Our department students are placed in various software industries, core electrical companies and few of them are entrepreneurs. With the support of Management we prepare the students to work in global multicultural environment.
