Designation: Assistant Professor

      Description of method :

Kahoot is a free game based learning platform for teachers of awesome, classroom super heros and all learners.A series of multiple choice questions are created in Data Communication. The format and number of questions are entirely up to the teacher. We can add videos, images and diagrams to your questions to amplify engagement.

Kahoots are best played in a group setting, for example, a classroom. Players answer the questions on their own devices; while games are displayed on a shared screen to unite the lesson.Social learning promotes discussion and pedagogical impact, whether players are in the same room or on the other side of the globe. Assessment is a critical part of any teaching. We need to know if the content sticks or if you need to spend more time on certain topics. Back in the day, we would handed participants a paper questionnaire, then check it and assess. It was all non-interactive, too manual and thus not very accurate. But the worst part is that you’d only get the results after the session – that feedback would’ve been so much more helpful if we could get it in real time instead!

      Benefits of method:

Kahoot provides us a report in excel format which consists of overview of the quiz, final score, question summary and raw report data which can be used to assess the performance  of the players and their level of understanding.
