- The department of EEE is accredited by NBA (2018-21), NAAC with A grade, AIIRA ranking for Innovation and research by the Ministry of Education, New Delhi.
- The department has received AICTE-MODROBS Grant of Rs. 13,00,000/- for Modernization of Relay and High Voltage Laboratory for the duration 2019-2021.
- The department has received a funding of Rs. 2.5 lakh by DST, Govt of India under NewGen IEDC for each of the six innovative projects carried out by the final year students. Various projects have been successfully completed and some of them are in process of building the model. This funding scheme is valid for another three years to support all the final year projects financially and otherwise.
- The department of EEE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manubhu Technology Pvt Ltd, Bangalore on 18th November, 2019. This MoU allows the partners to undertake consultancy work, research activities and provide internship opportunities to the students of B.N.M. Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Student Internship With The Outside World
Student internship is a part of University curriculum. Students are encouraged to take up industry internship during 6th semester break. Faculty members give them guidelines, suggestions and contact details for the internship. They also help the students by interacting with the industrial experts, provide the recommendation letters and other necessary supports. The alumni coordinator constantly interacts with alumnae who are working in the industries and request them to provide necessary guidelines and support their junior’s for internship. The institution has MoU with Old Dominion University (ODU), Belarus under which students are sent for internship during their vacation period. Sri. Venkatesha.K was deputed as Internship supervisor to Minsk state automotive college, Minsk, Belarus, European country education branch of RIPO from 30.7.2018 to 9.8.2018
