The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.N.M. Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, organized a workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design” in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), The Institution of Engineers (IEI), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The workshop was conducted by Dr. Ashwini K. B., Associate Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering, RV College of Engineering (RVCE). The session focused on the importance of design thinking methodologies, critical analysis, and innovation-driven approaches in solving engineering problems. The resource person elaborated on the stages of the design thinking process, idea generation techniques, and the role of creativity and critical thinking in developing innovative technological solutions.

Students actively participated in the session and gained practical insights into applying structured thinking approaches for problem solving, innovation development, and entrepreneurship. The workshop helped students understand how systematic thinking can be applied to develop impactful engineering solutions.
