
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in association with the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) BNMIT Student Branch Chapter, organized an Industrial Visit to the Infosys Mysore Campus on 5th March 2026 to provide students with firsthand exposure to a global technology environment and the professional landscape of the modern IT industry. Faculty coordinators and students travelled from BNMIT to the Infosys Mysore campus, where they were warmly welcomed by the Infosys team.
The visit commenced with a guided tour of the sprawling Infosys Mysore campus, one of the largest corporate training campuses in the world. Students explored its world-class infrastructure and facilities, gaining an appreciation for the scale, innovation, discipline, and excellence that characterize the organization. This was followed by an introductory video presentation highlighting Infosys’ journey, global presence, core service offerings, and vision for technology-driven transformation, providing students with valuable insights into the company’s role in shaping the IT industry.
The highlight of the visit was an engaging interactive session conducted by Ms. Swetha Maheshwari from the Training Department, who shared insights from her 18 years of experience at Infosys. She discussed emerging industry trends, including artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation, while leading an interactive Q&A session focused on critical thinking and real-world problem-solving. Her guidance helped students connect academic concepts with industry expectations and professional practices.
Overall, the industrial visit was an enriching experience that provided students with practical exposure to a globally renowned technology organization, broadened their understanding of the evolving IT landscape, and inspired them to prepare for future industry opportunities.
