IEEE BNMIT, in collaboration with the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapters, conducted a technical talk on AI for Earth Sciences: From Maps to Decisions on 24 July 2026. Delivered by Mr. Aman Bagrecha, Geospatial Scientist and Co-founder of Let’s Talk Spatial, the session introduced students to satellite imagery, spectral bands, radar imaging, and spatial-temporal analysis. Through practical demonstrations using tools such as Google Earth Engine, Sentinel datasets, Fused.io, and MapLibre, participants explored how artificial intelligence can support applications including environmental monitoring, deforestation analysis, pollution tracking, and land-use mapping
