The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Student Branch Chapter, in association with IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), organized an awareness session on Menstrual Hygiene to promote health education, wellbeing, and stigma-free conversations among young women. The talk was delivered by Ms. Vedashree, Human Resources – Health for Women’s, who addressed essential aspects of menstrual health, including hygiene practices, menstrual products, taboos surrounding menstruation, and the importance of creating supportive environments for women and girls. Her session emphasized safe hygiene habits, early identification of menstrual abnormalities, and the role of awareness in fostering confidence and wellbeing. The event aimed to educate students about maintaining proper menstrual hygiene, reducing misconceptions, and encouraging open discussions on women’s health. Participants benefitted from practical insights that contribute to long-term reproductive health and overall wellness.
