Workshop on Beyond Labels: The Unsupervised Machine Learning (Concepts & Code)

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BNMIT conducted a three-day workshop, Beyond Labels: The Unsupervised Machine Learning (Concepts & Code), from 1 to 3 June 2026. The workshop provided students with a strong foundation in unsupervised learning through sessions on data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, clustering techniques such as K-Means, Hierarchical Clustering, and DBSCAN, as well as dimensionality-reduction methods including PCA and SVD. Hands-on Python coding sessions and mini-projects enabled participants to apply these concepts to real-world datasets, strengthening their understanding of machine learning, data visualization, and pattern discovery.
