A talk on ‘Emerging trends in Power Transmission’ by Dr N. Vasudev, Additional Director & Group Head, CPRI, Bengaluru was organized on 16th April 2018 under ISTE student chapter & ABEEE. The speaker embarked upon the emerging trends in high voltage power transmission and gave an insight into the thrust areas of research in power transmission. The talk emphasized on the trends in the transmission of power and related developments, carried out by CPRI. Opportunities for Electrical Engineers in the field of High Voltage Transmission were also discussed. After the talk, students of IV, VI, VII, BE and M.Tech, who secured FCD were felicitated with mementos, by the guest.
