The “Understanding Technology Readiness Level (TRL)” programme was organized to create awareness about the systematic framework used to assess the maturity and development stage of a technology, from basic research to a fully validated and deployable solution. The session introduced participants to the different TRL stages and explained how technologies progress from concept development and laboratory research to prototype validation, demonstration, and real-world implementation.

The programme provided insights into evaluating technological maturity, identifying development gaps, validating prototypes, and planning the transition from research outcomes to practical applications. Participants gained a better understanding of how TRL assessment can support research planning, innovation management, technology commercialization, funding opportunities, and industry collaboration.
