The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.N.M. Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, organized an Industrial Workshop titled “Teaching Robotics in the Real World: Why the Tools Matter” in association with the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, IEEE Bangalore Section, the Institution of Engineers (IEI), and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). The session was delivered by Mr. Krishnan Nambiar, CEO of Vanora Robotics, who shared valuable insights into the practical aspects of robotics education and industry expectations. The talk focused on the importance of selecting appropriate robotics tools and platforms for effective learning and development. The resource person discussed real-world challenges in robotics education and emphasized the need to bridge the gap between classroom concepts and practical industry applications.

During the session, students were introduced to the foundations of robotics education, real-world robotics applications, and the significance of hands-on learning in preparing students for industry-oriented robotics systems. The workshop provided students with a clear understanding of how practical tools and platforms contribute to building robust robotics solutions and foster innovation in robotics projects and research.
