“Aarohan” is an annual college fest organized by Department of business administration of BNMIT. It is a highly anticipated event that brings together students from various colleges and universities to showcase their talents, participate in competitions, and enjoy a vibrant cultural extravaganza. The fest aims to provide a platform for students to exhibit their skills, foster a sense of camaraderie, and promote cultural exchange.

The organizing committee of “Aarohan” had started preparations for the event well in advance. A core team was formed, consisting of students and faculty members, responsible for overseeing different aspects of the fest. Various teams such as creativity, cultural, HR event, Finance event, Marketing, Technical teams were formed. The team meticulously planned the event, including deciding on the theme, and coordinating with sponsors. Finally, after all the planning the theme and event dates were finalized.

The theme of Aarohan 2023 was City of future. July 6th and 7th were dates finalized for the event. Various food stalls, entertainment zones and shopping stalls were setup. The entire college was decorated as per the theme and was looking stunning. The event started with great zest and enthusiasm on 6th July 2023 by welcoming our dignitaries followed by invocation. Invocation was followed by the skit depicting development of communication technology over ages. which was followed by the dashing flash mob.

The Fest witnessed an enormous success with participation of 230 students from 33 colleges. A musical concert was also held in the evening of first day by the music band ‘Lohar the blacksmiths’. The Winners at UG level was Christ University, Bangalore and winners for the PG event was IBS, Bangalore.

The Department of Business Administration organised an Intercollegiate Management and Cultural Fest – ‘Aarohan’ on 8 th and 9 th July 2022 for both UG and PG students. Talented individuals from colleges and universities across Bangalore locked horns in a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie and made great memories together with loads of learning and networking! Organized on the theme ‘Jamboree’, the fest was sponsored by RK Studio, Quess Corp Pvt. Ltd., NewGen – IEDC, UpGrad Campus, Onesta, V.R.Wood, Group Pharmaceuticals Ltd, SUSHEEL Holidays & Forex Pvt Ltd. and Embiotic Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.
The event was inaugurated by Sri. Narayana Rao R. Maanay, Secretary, BNMEI; Prof. T. J. Rama Murthy, Director; Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni, Additional Director; Prof. Eishwar N. Maanay, Dean; Dr. Krishnamurthy G. N, Principal; and Prof Vaishnavee Manay, Media Head, BNMIT. The Fest witnessed an enormous success with participation of 200 students from 115 colleges. A musical concert was also held in the evening of first day by the music band ‘The Mysore Express’. The Winners at UG level was Christ University, Bangalore and winners for the PG event was R N Shetty Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Aarohan 2019 – An Intercollegiate Management Fest

The fest concluded with a valedictory function during which, event heads read out the summary of their respective events. HOD-MBA, Dr. Maruthi Ram announced that the proceeds of marketing event, Rs. 10,250 (Rupees Ten Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Only) will be donated to the cause of Rivers.  The participants were very appreciative of this and they felt happy for contributing to a good cause.

164 Students from 18 MBA Colleges across Bangalore and BNMIT Engineering departments attended the event. The participants were extremely happy with the program and expressed their satisfaction formally in the valedictory function and informally to the event hosts

B N M Institute of Technology – Department of Management Studies hosted the management fest –AAROHAN 2019 on 12th of November, sponsored by Ace craft, Nandini KMF, Business toys, Serenity holidays.

The energy at BNMIT was at its peak, marking the excitement and energy of all the students and the participants from other colleges. This event was special and extraordinary for both the students and the staff as its theme was ‘Rivers of India’. The creative team of AAROHAN was at its creative best, when they meticulously planned and recreated the environment on BNMIT campus.

Mr. Venkatesh Sanganal, Vice President, Ezlynx, Bangalore inaugurated the fest and instilled a sense of responsiveness in the audience about water conservation and the burning issue of extinction of water bodies and lakes in Bangalore.

Following the inauguration, the audiences were introduced to all the events of the fest. The event witnessed a tremendously encouraging response with 164 students from 18 different colleges such as IBMR-IBS, DonBosco, RNSIT, RVIM, AIMIT (Adarsh Institute of Management & IT), Dayanand Sagar Institutions, and  Christ college .

The rounds had the theme integrated in it and were designed and conceptualized with the concept of

rivers and emphasized on water conservation. It was a blend of intellectual, emotional and physical activities.

The participants had to exhibit excellence in all aspects to reach the top of the ladder in their respective events. The events included JalaDhara–The Marketing Event, JalaNikshepa–The Finance Event, JalaSampanmula–Human Resource Event, JalaAvatharana–Business Quiz. There were a lot of fun filled activities lined up alongside.

B N M Institute of Technology – Department of MBA hosted the management fest ‘AAROHAN 2018’ on April 27th and 28th, 2018 in the theme Entrepreneur- The Business Warriors.172 students, 74 teams from other MBA College of Karnataka plus BNMIT students. In additional to the above said, Faculty of BNMIT and 1st year engineering students were present in Inaugural function.

Thhe event was Sponsored by DIGITAL ACA DEMY 360, IEDC-DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY,  BNMIT,SERENITY,MONEY WISE, FEEL ME CREW, ARTSY LENS, VENKATESHWARA POULTRY FARM,V.K.G. BAJAJ, VMAX BUILDERS, LOTUS ANALYTICS,R.S. DRIVING SCHOOL.

The event was planned well in advance and the students at BNMIT were so energetic on both the days, marking the excitement and energy of all the students and the participants from other colleges. This event was special and extraordinary for both the students and the staff as its theme was ‘Entrepreneur – Business Warriors’. The creative team of AAROHAN was very creative and gave their best by meticulous plan and created a very comfortable platform and environment on BNMIT campus for students to execute their talents in different events. The creativity by the students was well received and appreciated.

Aarohaan event started by pleasant and heart-warming invocation of Lord Ganeha by IV semester MBA students of BNMIT. The fest started with inauguration by Dr. Som Dutta Singh, Founder and Chief-Marketing at Unspun Consulting Group, and  The function was graced by Dr. C Naganna, Chairman, BNMIT, Sri. Narayan Rao R Maanay, Secretary, BNMEI, Dr. K R Iqbal Ahmed, Director, Maulana Azad National Urdu University and Governing Council Member, BNMIT, Dr. M S Suresh, Dean, Dr. Krishnamurthy G N, Sri. Eishwar N Maanay, Dean-Administration and Dr. L Vijayashree, HOD-MBA.

Dr. Som Dutta Singh, whose inspirational talk instilled knowledge about the entrepreneurial need in the nation. Her speech also invoked a sense of responsibility among students towards starting their own business. She gave us an insight about her struggles in her life and the way she succeeded in life. She also mentioned that we need to live our lives as we wish rather than compromising with the situations. Being a Business Warrior and encouraging the extraordinary talents is one way one can succeed in life, she quoted.

Following the inauguration, the audiences were briefed about all the events of the fest and the respective venues were informed .  23 colleges with 74 teams and 172 students from  various colleges participated in Aarohan 2018.

The rounds were a blend of intellectual, emotional and physical activities. The exciting and unique aspect of all the rounds was that they were designed and conceptualized with business activities as integral part in every event.

The participants had to exhibit excellence in all aspects to reach the top of the ladder in their respective events.

The overall Championship Trophy was awarded to RNSIT.

All those who have sponsored Aarohan 2018 were felicitated by our dignitaries by handing over mementos as tokens of appreciation.

Special Mobile application by name LEAD was launched by Prof Eishwar N. Maanay, Dean administration, BNMIT.

The event concluded with a high note of highly positive feedback from all the student  participants from various colleges across Bangalore.

The Chief Guest of valedictory function Mr. Jhon Kurivilla, drew attention of the students on the ‘skill sets’ they should attain while being qualified in academics to make them more employable. He motivated the students by relating the life in jungle with that of Corporate World. ‘The fest was informative and a memorable experience’ stated by one of the participant. The fest has been a platform for students from various reputed Business Schools who had exhibited their potential and expertise in many activities for two days and grabbed prizes. All the participants and guests had appreciated the event with full zeal and enthusiasm

Aarohan 2017 – An Intercollegiate Management Fest

The two-day event was concluded with the valedictory function. The dignitaries congratulated all the winners, runners up and the participants for their interest towards Agriculture in general and their empathy towards farmers in particular.

The Overall Championship Trophy was bagged by students of RNSIT, Bangalore. The event concluded with a high note of positive feedback from all the student participants from various colleges across Bangalore.

B N M Institute of Technology – Department of MBA hosted the management fest ‘AAROHAN 2017’ on May 5th and 6th, 2017 sponsored by Anand Audio, Oppo, Ace Craft, Big Bazaar Serenity, Wildcraft, Dominos, Saaguva Dariyalli, Fulcrum Edu, Big Barn and Agnipatrike.

This time BNMIT management students took their fest to a new level by having ‘Agriculture- A Tribute to Indian Farmers’ as the theme of the fest. A platform was built to motivate and inspire all the students to take a leap forward. The exciting day began with a soulful prayer by the college students. Prof. K Narayana Gowda, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore gave an inspiring talk and invoked a sense of responsibility amongst students towards the importance to be given to farmers and inaugurated the two-day festival. Following the inauguration, the audience was introduced to all the events of the fest. Around 60 students from 15 colleges registered to take part in various events. Some of the colleges were Dayanand Sagar, RVIM, Adarsh and RNSIT.  With the theme as Agriculture, the students were ready to defy all odds with a lot of zeal to organize and compete in the various management events.

The participants had to exhibit excellence in all aspects to reach the top of the ladder in their respective events. The events included Krishi Vipaanana – ‘The Marketing event’, Vikaasana ‘Managerial Entrepreneur event’, KrishiVitta – ‘The Finance event’ , Shamikrishi – ‘Human Resource event’ , Jnana Krishi – ‘Business Quiz’, Samastha –‘Theme Event’. There were a lot of fun filled activities lined up alongside.

All the events organized in the fest had a blend of agricultural mix inculcated in them. The uniqueness lay in their efforts to recreate the entire ambiance.

Aarohan 2016 – An Intercollegiate Management Fest

B N M Institute of Technology – Department of Management Studies hosted the management fest ‘AAROHAN 2016’ on 28th and 29th of April, 2016 sponsored by Wildcraft, Swiggy, Yamaha, Trend Setter & Olive Green.

The excitement at BNMIT was at its peak among all the participants from BNMIT and other colleges. This event was special and extraordinary as it’s theme was based ‘Indian Army’. Lieutenant Colonel V. Sri Krishna, gave an inspiring talk and invoked a sense of responsibility among the students towards the motherland and inaugurated the two-day fest. Following the inauguration, the audience was introduced to all the events of the fest. 130 students from 20 colleges registered from BMSCE, RVIM, CIMS and RNSIT etc.

The events planned in the festival were a blend of intellectual, emotional and physical activities. The exciting and unique aspect of all the events was that the army personnel were involved along with the students in designing and conceptualizing them.

The events included Mahasangram, The theme event; Sarvotham Yodha, Best Manager; Samrakshak, The HR event; Chanaksha, The Business Quiz; Arthyudh, The Finance event; Agni Prahar, The Marketing event and the most unique event Nirbhaya, The Woman Entrepreneur. There were also some fun sports events, which tested the physical abilities of the participants, and was the most cheered and enjoyed round among all.
