A guest lecture on “My Story – Motivational Session by Successful Entrepreneur” was conducted on 26th Nov 20222 through online mode for MBA students by in association with Institution’s Innovative Council. Mr. Vikas Appaji was the resource person for the session.

Mr. Vikas is completed his Executive Program in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC) and B.E. (Computer Science) from Bangalore University. Vikas Appaji started his career at Philips India Ltd., Bangalore in year 2002 as Software Engineer, Magnetic Resonance Data Archiving and Connectivity Team and he resigned in the year 2022 as Senior Project Manager in Strategy and Transformation Office. After 20 long years of career at Philips he started Sambramaa Services in the year 2021.

The Speaker started with important points that benefits every student’s progress such as, to make our ‘presentation’ successful, we must provide clarifications and conclusions. He also emphasized that students should find out what suits the needs of the customer.

Mr. Appaji said one should always look for efficient solutions for the problems faced by the society. However, each problem is different and not every situation can be supported by common tools. There will be specific solutions or technology tools that supports different situations. He also cautioned against setting too ambitious deadlines since deadlines are typically based on information available at the start of the product development cycle, they leave little room for unforeseen problems and can unfairly burden your team with the feeling of failure if not met. Online tools provides “just in time” information that gives an immediate answer to a question about a specific window, dialog or field. One should be grateful for what they have in their life and celebrate the present. Remove the fear of failure from your heart, child in you can break up the fear in you. Always do not compare you with others, compare yourself with yourself. Speaker also asked students not to be greedy as our greed can turn is into corrupt and dishonest human beings and must restraint ourselves from becoming that. Our needs should be limited and our wishes should be in control.
